Description

Polytechnique Montréal is one of Canada’s top engineering schools, known for world-class teaching, impactful research, and a strong commitment to sustainability. Founded in 1873, it leads in Québec for research intensity and partners globally to tackle major societal challenges. Its LEED Gold-certified campus reflects its dedication to innovation and responsible development.

Challenge

Polytechnique Montréal aimed to expand its digital learning ecosystem. This included outward-facing MOOCs to share knowledge with the public, and the internal Moodle platform to support students and faculty. I was involved in both streams: creating engaging MOOCs and ensuring the technical reliability of the Moodle platform.

EDUlib: Creating impactful learning with MOOCs

Objective

Support the creation and launch of high-quality MOOCs that highlight engineering solutions to global challenges.

My role
  • Co-developed MOOCs in partnership with HEC and UdeM.
  • Designed visuals, infographics, and layout assets to support learning outcomes.
  • Integrated content using HTML and CSS.
  • Assisted with video shooting and editing using Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Outcome

The EDUlib platform delivered accessible and visually engaging courses to a global audience, extending Polytechnique’s educational impact.

Moodle: Enhancing daily teaching and learning

Objective

Maintain and improve Polytechnique’s internal Moodle portal used by students, professors, and administrative teams.

My role
  • Provided daily technical support for students and professors.
  • Maintained the platform using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Managed platform migrations and database optimization.
  • Ensured smooth user experience and issue resolution.

Outcome

Increased system stability, streamlined academic workflows, and enhanced support satisfaction among students and faculty.

Impact

I contributed to two key digital learning pillars at Polytechnique Montréal. The MOOC project reflected my strengths in creative design and multimedia production, while the Moodle platform highlighted my technical problem-solving and user support capabilities. Together, they showcase my ability to create scalable, impactful educational experiences.
